Constructed from lightweight quick-dry fabric with natural stretch, the collection was developed specifically for unrestricted movement and airflow, especially during high-output sessions and warm-weather running.

Heat-bonded finishes and clean seam construction help reduce friction and chafing over longer efforts, while subtle hidden storage keeps essentials secure without adding unnecessary bulk.

Beth McKenzie on the Women’s Pace Run Line

For WYN republic co-founder Beth McKenzie, the Women's Pace Run Line filled a gap she personally felt in her own training.

“My favorite piece from the Pace Run Line is definitely the Pace Shorts,” Beth explains. “I’ve been looking forward to having a loose short option that is really like a go-to for every day.”

As an ultra runner and endurance athlete, Beth wanted a short that could move comfortably through different types of training without feeling restrictive.

What excited her most was how naturally the run line integrated into the broader WYN ecosystem.

“Now that we have so many pocket bras, I can easily choose a pocket bra along with the Pace Shorts and head out for any type of distance run because I’ll have my phone, I’ll have my nutrition, and then just be real free and flowy with the shorts.”

That versatility became a key design principle throughout the line, creating pieces that support movement while fitting naturally into an athlete’s everyday routine.

Beth also highlighted the lightweight feel and styling of the tops:

“Our Pace Tanks are great, really nice finishes, super light, comfortable and I just like the sets together, pairing them well. I’m a tuck-in kind of girl so I’ll tuck my singlet into my shorts.”

Luke McKenzie on Refining the Men’s Pace Line

For co-founder Luke McKenzie, the Men's Pace Run Line represents a significant step forward for WYN’s run category.

“We’ve been testing this for over a year now and to finally bring it to market, this is a super premium product that is a real step up for the WYN republic brand.”

Luke emphasized that every detail of the men’s line was refined through extensive wear testing and athlete feedback.

One of the biggest updates came in the redesign of the Pace Shorts.

“We’ve redone the waistline and done away with the zipper of previous run shorts. We’ve gone with an open flap rear pocket with the ability to store your phone, plus loops for storing shirts and gels.”

The focus throughout development was improving comfort and creating a more seamless running experience.

“The construction of these shorts with an inner lining that is super buttery and soft feel, you’ll feel like you’ve got nothing on when you’re wearing these shorts. They are by far our best run shorts yet.”

Luke also pointed to the collection’s fabric and finishing details as standout features:

“The fabric first and foremost — it’s super lightweight, nice and breathable. The taped features give it a really premium feel, very subtle branding, and the colors and aesthetics look great. You’ll look good and feel great in it.”
