9 Years of WYN republic: The Journey So Far
Nine years ago, WYN republic began with a simple idea.
Create modern endurance apparel built for athletes who love the journey just as much as the finish line.
What started with a single tri suit has grown into a global community of endurance athletes connected by a shared passion for racing, training, and pushing what's possible.
As we celebrate our ninth birthday, we're looking back at some of the moments that have shaped WYN into what it is today!
Where It All Began
Founded in 2017, WYN republic was built around more than just apparel.
The name WYN comes from founders Luke and Beth's daughter, Wynne, and reflects a life of adventure between California and Australia. It's also a nod to the word win,not just standing on top of a podium, but winning in the everyday moments that make up the athlete's journey.
And republic? That's the community. A place where athletes support athletes, celebrate one another's achievements, and inspire each other to keep chasing big goals.
Growing Together
Every year since has brought something new. In 2018, we expanded beyond triathlon with the early days of WYN Active, introducing crops, bras, and training tops designed for athletes on and off the race course.
In 2019, we launched WYN Custom, giving clubs, teams, and athletes the opportunity to create custom apparel built to perform.
By 2020, WYN had grown into new warehouses and a new headquarters, while expanding our range with everyday essentials that quickly became customer favorites.
Even during the challenges of the global pandemic, our team never stopped innovating. Behind the scenes, we were developing what would become the next generation of WYN tri suits.
Raising the Standard
The years that followed marked a new era of performance.
Our professional athlete roster continued to grow around the world, with Braden Currie standing on the podium at the 2022 IRONMAN World Championship in St. George.
That same year, we launched the Hi Velocity X Tri Suit, combining aerodynamics, storage, comfort, and functionality into one race-day package.
In 2023, two products helped redefine WYN performance: the LUCEO+ Aero Tri Suit and our Aero Calf Sleeves, quickly becoming trusted by athletes racing at every level. It was also the year World Champions joined the WYN Team.
The momentum continued in 2024 with the launch of the CdA Aero Tri Suit, while our global WYNR Team grew to more than 1,000 athletes worldwide.
A Record-Breaking Year
2025 was one of our biggest years yet.
We introduced the Platinum Collection, expanded WYN Active with new colors, and launched the Multisport Base Layer, which sold out almost immediately.
Our athletes also achieved incredible milestones on the world stage.
Kat Matthews set a new IRONMAN world record at IRONMAN Texas before going on to finish second at the IRONMAN World Championship.
Hayden Wilde captured the World Triathlon T100 Series title with a record-breaking six victories, becoming WYN's first World Champion.
Watching our athletes achieve these moments reminds us why we do what we do.
Still Chasing What's Next
As we celebrate nine years, we're just getting started.
This year has already welcomed the launch of WYN Swim, the Pace Collection, the Platinum Hi Velocity X, new crops, fresh colors, and more innovations designed to help athletes perform at their best.
Every collection, every product, and every decision continues to be driven by one goal: helping endurance athletes enjoy every part of the journey.
